There are 13 estates which are managed under the 4 Groups. Estates comprise a number of divisions. Divisions of Estates are adjacent. Sometime divisions of one estate may be far away to each other. The neighboring lands with houses belong to the local communities and are used mainly for agricultural purposes (between 1 acre–50 acres). These communities also have the facilities of schools, temples etc.
Mahaoya Estate
Seethawaka River is on the border on East Maliyagodawatta Agricultural land and Maldeniya village settlement is on the Eastern side; Ihala Maniyamgama hamlet is in the Western side. The rest of the sides bordering the belongs to the company and is in rubber.
Densworth Estate
Seethawaka River flows on the western side of the estate and Loolpolawatta Agricultural land and Maliyagoda village settlement are on this side. On the eastern side is Walpolawatta, Aludeniyawatte with plantation crops are on the north and Maldeniyawatta rubber is on the southern side.
Woodend Estate
The Northern border of the estate is Maldeniya village. Eastern side is Hinguralakanda village while Hathnagalla private estate and Wooden private estates are on the southern side and Lakmana village settlement is on the western side. Ranhawadikanda village is the closest to Woodend estate where farmers live.
Pitiyakanda Estate
Pillessa is a small division situated inside the village closer to Galagedara/ Kurunegala main road. Kospothu oya stream is situated in the eastern side. On the other sides are Rambatta Kotikapola, Malandeniya,Ruggolla villages and Pitiakande/ Muwankanda estate rubber plantations.
Muwankanda Estate
Rambukkana - Mawathagama main road run through the estate. Watareka, Palle Inguruwatte, Ketawala and Gonagala are some of the villages situated around the estate where mainly farmers are living. Main vegetation type exist in this villages is “Kandyan home garden” type.
Notinghill Estate
This estate consists of 3 divisions which are Notinghill, Bayswater and Deaela. Total estate borders villages Malandeniya on the north, Kalugamuwa on the west , Dodankumbura on the south and Kaluwane on the east. Land profile is paddy fields, mixed home garden and few coconut & rubber plantations.
Keppitigala Estate
There are 3 divisions coming under Keppitigala Estate those are Galagama, Marlbe and Keppitigala. Northern border of Galagama division is Mukalane Ela stream and there after Wegama village mainly consists of paddy fields. On western side is Galagama ela stream and Niyanagama and Walauwatta villages consisting mainly of home gardens. Southern side of the division Morakanda Estate are private rubber plantations and the Eastern side is Balukgala village with home gardens.
Marlbe division is a narrow strip of land, Western border is Nelaoolla private estate with agriculture crops. The rest of the land borders villages where “chena” cultivation (shifting cultivation) and is subject to erosion.
Sapumalkanda Estate
Southern boundary of the estate is Mahaoya River and Digalawatta. Other 3 sides are estate land of the company and village land are with home gardens with perennial crops.
Illuktenna Estate
Seethawaka ganga (river) runs through the estate. To the north of the estate is Deloluwa private Estate with old rubber plantations, Deegalla Rubber estate is on the West and Panawalkanda on the east of the estate in where home gardens and agricultural crops exists.
Reucastle Estate
To the westen side of the estate is Hinguralakanda village home garden, with steep lands with perennial crops. Pambegama private estate with Rubber Plantations situated is on the south border of the estate. Rest of the borders are adjacent to Ranahinkanda Modara & Digalla villages in which paddy fields and agricultural crops grown mainly by farmers around their homesteads.
Udabage Estate
The northern border of this estate is Mahaoya river and is adjacent to Boralankada village land profile which are home garden types on undulating land. Western side Deloluwa village and other two sides adjacent to Bopekanda Liniyagala Pupakanda villages and Welihinda private estate in which farmers and estate workers are the prominent community.
Eila Estate
The northern border is the Kelani river and the village named Tanakolawatta which has mainly steep lands. Other three sides adjacent to Pelellegama and Boralankada villages are where private tea gardens exists..
Udapola Estate
The eastern side of the estate, borders Miyanawita oya ( river) and Miyanawita private Estate. Other three sides are adjacent to Digowagama, Imbulpitiya Panawalkanda and Lassanagama villages which are undulating in terrain and consist of farmsteads.
